Application Information

This application serves as an understanding between the student, their parent/guardian, school counselor, and the UC Scout team, and outlines the details of this opportunity.

UC Scout is a University of California program that provides online A-G and AP College Board approved courses to support students in meeting graduation, CSU, and UC eligibility requirements.

Award recipients will receive a $349 scholarship towards a $399 On Demand course. The student is responsible for paying a $50 technology fee per semester of a course.

On Demand courses are asynchronous independent studies and students do not interact with their classmates. Students learn the curriculum by watching pre-recorded video lectures, and submit a combination of assignments, quizzes, and tests to earn a final grade. The UC Scout teacher provides feedback and support, hosts live weekly office hours, and grades assignments. The teacher does not provide synchronous live instruction.

More information about On Demand courses can be found here.
